Public institution Theatre Projects peresents Hungarian theatre troupe performance ROMEO AND JULIET by William Shakespeare at chamber art festival CASTLE‘S ACCORDS.
Chamber art festival CASTLE‘S ACCORDS, an innovative cultural initiative, is an exceptional project in Kaunas combining all kinds of art. It is composed of three symbolic parts - accords, that are projects of different conceptions. The first accord presents the project of sacramental art at St. George church (entrance free). The second accord is a synthesis of different art forms presented by the artist of various art forms (entrance free). The third accord introduces an international project Hungarian theatre performance by William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet in the yard of Kaunas Communication Development museum (Rotuses av. 19).
Hungarian theatre VID?M SZ?NPAD KHT performance Romeo and Juliet is one of the most emphatic international events at the festival. It was performed at various theatre festivals and was well criticized among theatre critics and spectators. The interpretation of love story is conveyed with the help of chamber art symbolism. It will fascinate everyone who is interested in an unusual theatre art expression and unexpected version of classical play. The performance charms with its theatrical playfulness and at the same time expresses the essence of dramaturgic material – the price of young people love. The essential aim of presenting the performance is to convey pure thought of the author. It encompasses untraditional art forms preserving a code of unique chamber theatre.
The mission of chamber art festival CASTLE’S ACCORDS is to give the opportunity to talented artists to present their works at three different spaces in the city and create the works in front of the audience sharing experiences and ideas, communicating and opening the diverse spectrum of Kaunas artists works. Also it gives a brilliant opportunity to be acquainted with Hungarian
theatre troupe VID?M SZ?NPAD KHT which presents a school of current Hungarian theatre. The festival CASTLE’S ACCORDS 2006, 2007 took place at Raudondvaris castle. The aim of succession of the project is to organize various artists with different cultural experiences and to deliver a possibility to create together and to present new, experimental art conceptions.
The performance ROMEO and JULIET by William Shakespeare (Hungarian theatre troupe VID?M SZ?NPAD KHT) took part in Istanbul theatre festival in 2006 and gained great success. It will be shown in the yard of Kaunas Communication Development museum during the festival CASTLE’S ACCORDS 13 September 2008, 8 pm. (translated into Lithuanian).
