In the first half of the concert the LNSO will introduce violinist Diana Galvydytė. She was educated at the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal College of Music in London. While a student in Great Britain, as a member of both piano trio and string quartet she appeared in prestigious concert halls including Wigmore Hall, took part in the International Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland.
Solo parts in Duruflé’s Requiem will be performed by Jovita Vaškevičiūtė and Dainius Stumbras, the soloists with the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, recipients of “Operos švyturiai” awards.
